You must take into consideration the time you take preparing your classes and the dedication and hard work you put in. If you are properly qualified, with experience and if you are a native teacher then 20 euros should be the absolute minimum. If you are a proper freelance teacher like myself...then even more. If you want to deliver a high quality professional class then you should consider the total amount of time that you put into planning that class. Don't undervalue your work and effort ever.

It doesn't really matter if you study British or American English unless you need to work or study in the UK or the USA. American grammar differs a little to British English and viceversa so you should choose the type of English which would be most suitable or useful to use for you work, studies or travel. If you have an American teacher but you want to pass a British Cambridge exam then it would probably be in your best interest to have a British teacher as they would teach you British grammar and idiomatic expressions and phrasal verbs that would appear in an exam set by a British examination board.....There are often differences in spelling between American and British English too. The Americans can use one "l" when the Brits use two ll's. Moreover, the Americans prefer to use the past simple to say "I just did it" when the British prefer the present perfect "I have just done it". When you speak it doesn't really matter what form you use, but if you took a British exam then you would have to use British spelling and British grammar in your answers. If you need to work with Americans then it would be probably more useful to have an American teacher, who would teach you American style English grammar and spelling/pronunciation.

Hi. The best thing that you can do is to read as much as you can, articles from newspapers, watch films in their original version for your listening skills with the subtitles in English to help your reading skills and vocabulary as well. The more you persist watching films or series in their original version then the faster you will become when processing information. Don't expect to understand everything and don't get frustrated if you can't understand everything. As time goes by I promise it will get easier. When you listen to a person in your own language you don't listen to everything they say...you put everything, the key ideas together like a puzzle...and a foreign language is similar. As for your speaking skills, the best thing you can do is to get yourself a one-to-one private English teacher, with whom you feel comfortable and relaxed and who can help you build on what you already know , expand your vocabulary and provide you with a large variety of different contexts and scenarios in order to practice new vocabulary and structures. When learning a language it is very important to be constant. Practice English every week to maintain your level and to build on your fluency. Practice makes perfect!
