The English Workshop (1987) is a small language school in Arganda del Rey that teaches English. We aim to provide quality English Language Teaching (General English and English for Specific Purposes, usually business) to children, adolescents and adults.
In-Centre we serve approximately 350 students (50% children, 30% adolescents, and 20% adults). Class size is limited to a maximum of 12 children, 10 adolescents or 10 adults. We also teach in companies in the south-east of Madrid.
Note: We can ONLY employ EEC residents with valid work permits.
We have various teaching posts available for in-centre classes and/or company classes (part time posts up through 24 teaching hours Monday through Thursday) in the evenings for our school year October 2014 through June 2015. This involves teaching children, adolescents, adults and company students (all grouped according to age and level).
We offer fair terms and conditions: written contracts according to Spain's labour laws. Salary in the upper range for Madrid -approx. 1350 €/month for full time teachers (24 hours), depending on qualifications and experience, specified teaching hours per week, paid holiday entitlement, illness, severance payments.
We work with interactive whiteboards in-centre and students have access to an online platform for extra activities. Our staff has appropriate training, qualifications and experience. Appropriate workspace and facilities to carry out duties effectively.
We value enthusiasm in teaching English; formal qualifications such as Cambridge University's CELTA or Trinity College Certificate in TESOL; a university degree or equivalent tertiary qualification.
