I am a language graduate with a bachelor´s degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. During the last year at university I had an internship in specialized English schools, where children study not only English, but other subjects in English and gained valuable experience of teaching English in a very favourable environement. Later on, I got my first job teaching Business English in a Business School.

My degree was in English and, consequently, I spent a few years living in many English-speaking countries and communities, and working for some time as a translator /interpreter for major multinationals; therefore, my level can be considered near-native.

When I moved to Spain I went back to teaching English, which was a double challenge: I had to recover my knowledge of teaching methods and to do that in a culturally different environment. During my teaching practice here I´ve acquired experience of teaching children, preparing teenagers and adults for the Cambridge Certificate Exams and training executives in companies in Business English. I have a good command of English due to extensive practice combined with a solid knowledge of teaching English methods, which I acquired through the University course. . When I teach Business English I rely heavily on the experience I got working for big multinationals , which helps me to understand the needs and requirements of the people in the working places.

Furthermore, I try to combine classic teaching methods of EFL with modern conversational one, which is very suitable for teaching with the series of English File course books (from A1 to B1). I possess fun-filled and effective teaching skills and ability to motivate students towards learning. I have a demonstrated capacity to assess student abilities accurately, tail lessons to achieve desired goals, manage difficult learners, shift between languages and maintian written records of students assessments. Over and above, I am able to work well both independently (I worked freelance for some time) and under supervision.
