Hola, mi nombre es Jorge Rodríguez, y he sido profesor de inglés por más de 20 años, impartiendo clases en México, Estados Unidos y España. Soy bilingüe en español e inglés, con profundo conocimiento gramatical y lingüístico en ambas lenguas. Para mí, la enseñanza y el aprendizaje del inglés conforman un proceso interactivo y dinámico en el que el alumno es la figura central. Como profesor de inglés CELTA (certificado por la Universidad de Cambridge), mi objetivo es funcionar como facilitador para que mis alumnos desarrollen el conocimiento y las habilidades que les lleven a ser competentes y fluidos al hablar, escuchar, leer y escribir en inglés.

La programación didáctica de mis clases está basada en las especificaciones que para el inglés observa el MCER (Marco Común Europeo de Referencia para las lenguas), y la metodología que utilizo lleva al alumno, por un lado, a entender la gramática del inglés y, por otro, a aplicarla adecuadamente para comprender -al leer y al escuchar- y para producir -al hablar y al escribir-.

Gran parte de mi actividad como profesor de inglés ha tenido lugar en empresas, por lo que poseo un amplio conocimiento del inglés de negocios utilizado en las áreas de RH, finanzas, manufactura, logística, ventas y administración, entre otras. Asimismo, funciono como coach en áreas específicas, tales como juntas, correo electrónico, presentaciones y conferencias telefónicas.

Hi, I'm Jorge Rodríguez. I've been an English teacher for over 20 years and have taught in Mexico, the US and Spain. I'm fully bilingual in English and Spanish, with sound grammar and linguistic knowledge in both languages. I see teaching/learning English as a dynamic and interactive process in which the learner is the central figure. As a CELTA teacher (certified by the University of Cambridge) my goal is to serve as a facilitator so my students gain the knowledge and develop the skills necessary to become fluent and competent at speaking, listening, reading and writing English.

My classes are pedagogically programmed around the specifications set for English by the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for languages), and the methodology I apply enables the student to first understand English grammar and then apply it properly in order to comprehend -when reading and listening- and to produce -when speaking and writing.

A great deal of my activity as an English teacher has occurred in companies, which endows me with ample knowledge of the business English found in the areas of HR, finance, manufacturing, logistics, sales and management, among others. For the same reason, I'm able to coach people on specific business areas like meetings, e-mail writing, presentations and teleconferencing.
