Kenneth Lambert

Hi my name is Kenneth Lambert and I am an English native speaker with three year´s experience as a an auxiliary teacher in bilingual schools and another three years teaching adults in ESIC university and company classes.

Prior to moving to Madrid I had studied fine art in Dublin and I have continued to work as an artist in Madrid although at times just about. Not to blow my own trumpet but I have won numerous awards and bursaries, completed residencies and exhibited throughout Europe. My intention now is to give classes in English through art.

In EFL teaching there are four types of recognized learner, visual, auditory, kineasthetic and tactile.

Generally speaking learners who use the right side of the brain follow these characteristics

Are intuitive learners.
Process information holistically.
Tend to be subjective.
Prefer elusive uncertain information.
Rely on drawing and manipulation to help them think.

The learning style most suitable for these characterizations would be a tactile/Kinaesthetic
approach.


Tactile – Writing and drawing as memory aids, hands-on activities like projects and demonstrations.


Generally people who are artistic and creative would benefit most from the above type of learning styles. Logically it makes sense to use the same style for like minded people also having similar interests would mean that the students would have a greater tendency to engage in the subject matter.






*Meaningful communication results from students processing relevant content which is purposeful interesting and engaging.
