Hi there!

I'm Jimmy and I have a passion for teaching English. Though I've worked in academies in Spain for many years, I've decided to go online and continue my work here!

I'm British and have clear pronunciation. I've lived most of my life in Spain, so I speak Spanish too! This allows me to identify false friends and other common mistakes Spanish learners make when learning English.

My prefered method of online teaching is through Google Meet. One thing to note is that you don't need a Google account in order to connect to a Google Meet session.

I teach online professionally, so my equipment is pretty decent! A fast and stable internet connection, HD webcam, high-end microphone and good illumination ensure that these lessons are always special.

Our speaking lessons are a relaxed environment where we talk about all sorts of topics and I encourage you to express yourself freely without me constantly interrupting! At the end of a typical lesson, we will discuss some aspects of your spoken English which need attention (fossilized mistakes) and correct and practise them.

As someone who has worked in academies teaching English, I am highly familiar with Cambridge, Trinity and IELTS official exams and a little less so with EOI exams. Preparing for these kinds of exams is my bread and butter! If this is your objective, it's worth mentioning that I know these exams well and can share with you all the tips and tricks.

If you need to improve your writing, I can offer a great workshop which will can totally transform the way you write in English after only a few sessions. So far, I have taught 7 PhD students to improve their writing in their thesis in a variety of fields, so technical areas are not a problem.

The student profile who can benefit the most from these lessons are adults or mature teenagers who genuinely want to learn and who already have an intermediate or higher level in the language.
