Apart from linguistic competence, we will cover discourse competence (structuring and connecting your ideas), sociolinguistic competence (levels of formality, politeness strategies, influencing, persuading etc), strategic competence (using strategies to maintain clear communication when the situation is difficult), and on top of this, soft skills (building rapport, using your voice effectively, interacting appropriately), all to help successfully achieve your communicative objectives
