Native English speaker with over 25 years of experience teaching English

I have over 25 years of English and classroom teaching experience. I taught English, English as a second language, and social studies to student in US public schools who were ages 11-18 since the year 2000. Over that time, I had the opportunity to work many different kinds of students. Since January, I have been teaching online. Much of my work has been with small groups and one-to-one sessions. When I prepare for a class, I like to understand the needs of my students, so I can provide exactly what they need. In my sessions I create a safe place for students to learn from the mistakes that they make. I make sure learning opportunities are well-structured with a good pace to keep students active. I really focus on them using their language and building their skills.
