I primarily do conversation classes based around news articles, videos or other texts, such as short stories, which you will have read or watched before the class.

I believe that this is the best way to learn a language by reading it and listening to it as much as possible, like when you were child learning your own native language! I don't spend much time on grammar because I don't think it is effective but I will explain some grammatical concepts if I feel it is necessary. Neither will I constantly correct you; rather I will encourage you to develop your fluency.

To learn language effectively you need to see words and phrases in context and understand messages. On top of that you then need to take that information and form your opinions about it in English which you will do with me by discussing it in our class, or writing about it as homework.

I will work with you to maximise your potential and enrich your language, giving lots of idiomatic 'everyday' phrases and language so you can learn to speak like a native about anything.
