My goal as a teacher is to ignite the passion of each students and have them excited to come to class every day. I believe that environmental education is applicable to every career path, it is simoly a matter of making those connections so that the students can connect what they love with what. I teach. I use a student centered approach, tailoring my lessons to your unique learning styles and interests. In longer term contexts I use scaffolding, a technique where I slowly build on information from the previous class to achieve class objectives in a smooth and sustainable way, where the students don't feel overwhelmed nor like the work is too easy. I like to include a variety of academic and practical material in the lessons, such as academic articles, real world case studies, videos, simulators, and news articles.

I strongly believe in the think-see-do approach to learning, where I teach the theory (think), show an example of it in practice (see), and then have the students perform an activity that stimulates what wss learned (do). This helps to not only reinforce what's being learned in class, but gives practical applications to the material, contributing to life long learning.

In previous class evaluations, students have expressed that the class I taught was their favorite due to the experiential learning and adaptive approach to accommodate the students' interests.

My favorite part of teaching is seeing the development of my students through the semester, from and intellectual and creative level. They are always surprising me with how well they learn and perform through the semester.
