¿Diferencia entre Mr, Mrs, Ms y Miss?
Mariona | Clases de Inglés
Hi Mariona, I hope you don’t mind my writing in English. ‘Mr’ is for all men regardless of age or marital status (single or married). ‘Mrs’ is purely for married women of any age. The woman may have taken their spouse’s name, this is common, but nowadays it is a choice. ‘Miss’ is for unmarried women of any age. However, married professional women may continue to use ‘Miss’ as their qualifications and reputation were earned under this name. In the UK, ‘Ms’ is more uncommon and is a title that a woman actively chooses to use; the woman could be married or single.

Laia | Clases de Inglés
Hi Laia, I hope you don’t mind my responding in English. The contracted forms are most common in Spoken and Informal communication. However, we may choose to use the long form for emphasis as we can stress the individual words. Additionally, short positive answers cannot be contracted: yes, I am vs no, I’m not. Lastly, the long form must be used for formal language: essays, reports, proposals, formal letters.
