Dustin Saxton

Hello! My name is Dr. Dustin Saxton and I have over ten years experience teaching math at all levels from math curriculum aimed at younger students all the way to Calculus. I can individualize my instruction to help with any topic in mathematics from simple operations all the way to integrals and derivatives.

I work with individuals or small groups in concrete, representational, and abstract concepts in math. I use a gradual approach and speak in easy language to be able to break down tough math concepts into tangible pieces. I ensure students develop deep conceptual understanding alongside procedural fluency. My students thrive on inquiry first learning and collaborative discourse where they learn to construct viable arguments, critique peer reasoning and embrace productive struggle. Through this structured but dynamic approach I consistently bridge the gap between intuition and formal mathematics, empowering students to become analytical thinkers and problem solvers.

I use real world examples and will try any technique I know from my years of experience to help students understand and become successful at math.
