Elina Hillairet-Humphries

I am a qualified French and Spanish teacher with over 20 years of international teaching experience across primary, secondary and Sixth Form education, primarily within the British education system. I offer online French and Spanish lessons, tailored to students of different ages, abilities and learning goals, helping them develop their language skills, build confidence and improve their academic performance.

My online lessons are personalised, interactive and student-centred. I begin by assessing each student's prior knowledge, areas for improvement and interests, allowing me to establish clear objectives and adapt lessons to their individual needs and learning pace. I combine structured explanations with communicative activities that encourage students to practise vocabulary, grammar, listening, speaking, reading and writing.

I use digital teaching materials, interactive exercises, multimedia resources and gamified activities to create engaging and effective online learning experiences. I place particular emphasis on active participation, speaking practice and the practical application of language skills. Regular reviews and constructive feedback help students monitor their progress and identify areas requiring further support.

I have extensive experience preparing students for GCSE, IGCSE and A Level examinations, as well as developing effective study and examination strategies. My UK teaching qualifications and Master's degree in Languages and Technology complement my classroom experience and support my approach to online teaching.

My aim is to provide a supportive, stimulating and well-structured online learning environment where every student feels encouraged to participate actively, develop greater independence and gain confidence in communicating in another language.
