During my 10 years of working as a high school teacher in The Netherlands I used many different strategies in my classes: we did many experiments, played games, watched videos and did a lot of exercises.
Working together is a key element in learning. By talking about difficulties and trying to explain them to others, you will become smarter. Explaining it to someone else will help you to understand the matter yourself. You will have to fully know what you are talking about in order to give a clear and coherent explanation to somebody else.
Learning is also about having fun, so in between brain-cracking exercises there is time for lighter activities that will also help improve your level of understanding.
