My name is Hayden, and I'm a native English teacher from the United States. Having faced the challenges of mastering complex subjects myself, I understand the importance of clear, accessible explanations.

I have extensive teaching experience, working with students ranging from five to nineteen years old. My background includes volunteering with a daycare service, where I taught foundational grammar and vocabulary to children aged 5-12. Additionally, during high school, I tutored peers (ages 14-19) in various subjects, including biology, chemistry, geometry, algebra, and calculus. I also have coaching experience as a soccer coach for four years, where I learned the importance of balancing practice and enjoyment in the learning process. Moreover, I worked as a full-time tutor at for a year, providing online tutoring in a wide range of humanities subjects, further honing my ability to explain complex concepts to students of all ages.

My academic background is diverse. I excelled in advanced placement courses, earning the following AP exam scores: Language & Composition (5), Literature & Composition (4), Psychology (5), Calculus AB (4), Microeconomics (4), US Government & Politics (5), and US History (4). I achieved a SAT score of 1530 and graduated from Portland State University’s Honors College in 2023 with a degree in film. In 2024, I earned my TEFL certificate.
