With a solid educational background and extensive experience in teaching mathematics across various school curriculums, I am confident in my ability to contribute to the growth and development of young minds.
Currently pursuing the PG Diploma in International Teaching with a certificate in Counselling from the London School of Teachers, I am enthusiastic about applying my theoretical knowledge in a practical setting. The 18-month program has equipped me with the latest teaching methodologies, and I am eager to bring this fresh perspective to the dynamic learning environment.
I have done a few weeks of cover teaching at St. George International School Barcelona. Moving to Australia in 2018, I did home tutoring for a few kids who studied in local Sydney Schools (reference available on request). I have also been doing home tutoring for a few kids who are studying in international schools in Barcelona. To keep myself updated, I also completed a month-long internship at Peekaboo International Daycare.
My academic journey includes a Master of Science in Mathematics from Madurai Kamaraj University (2016 – 2018) and a Bachelor of Education (BEd) from Calicut University, India. With a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Mahatma Gandhi University, India, I possess a strong foundation in the subject matter that I am excited to share with young learners.
During my tenure at Gopalan National School in Bangalore, where I taught mathematics for Years 1, II, III & IV and served as a Class Teacher for Year II, I honed my skills in adaptive teaching. I tailored instructional plans to accommodate diverse learning styles, ensuring universal understanding. My commitment to fostering a culture of continuous learning is evidenced by my meticulous design of lesson plans and the development and administration of regular assessments.
In my previous roles at MTB Jnanajyothi Vidyaniketan and Maddona School, I demonstrated my ability to engage students through various teaching styles, integrating practical applications of mathematical concepts into daily life. Additionally, my experience at Saraswathi Vidyaniketan Higher Secondary School equipped me with the skills to teach students of all grades until year 9.
