Over the past several years, I have taught Mandarin both online and in person, through one-on-one lessons and live group classes.

My students have ranged from young children to adults, and their goals have varied widely:
HSK exam preparation, YCT youth chinese test , Pinyin and pronunciation, business Chinese, everyday conversation, and practical Chinese for travel.

I tailor every lesson plan to the individual learner's needs, level and goals, so that each student makes progress that is meaningful to them.
Because I am an enthusiastic language-exchange participant myself, I understand first-hand the challenges and frustrations that Chinese learners face, from tones and characters to grammar patterns and cultural nuance.
This experience has made me patient, empathetic and creative in finding ways to help students overcome their difficulties.
