Dear Sir/Madam

As a qualified teacher having spent many years in the classroom, I am experienced in helping students learn how to study. I appreciate that there are two aspects to my job ; the administrative part of it and the education part, and I feel I would be a perfect candidate for the role. I feel confident in my ability to accomplish the role and to be able to overcome any difficulties that may come along.

I have worked with a wide range of ages, in residential summer camps, language academies and in FE colleges. This has given me a lot of insight into how different establishments operate and the importance of safeguarding students. As a residential teacher in the summer camp, I also helped students in a more pastoral role and gave them the support they needed to ensure they got the most out of their summer experience. In class, this experience has helped hone my classroom management skills so that I can be strict when necessary but can maintain a fair approach. I have extensive experience dealing with a range of behavioural needs and have had training and experience in helping students with special educational and physical needs. I am also extremely organised and always get things done on time to high standards.

I really enjoying being part of a teaching team and find it easy to integrate well in a staffroom. I feel that teaching colleagues provide the best support system and I am always willing to share ideas, resources and material. I would like to get involved in after-school activities, the social programme and sports events if these are available. I have a great sense of humour and positive attitude which helps me building rapport with my students and also creating a good atmosphere in the classroom.

I am proficient in all computer packages and feel my administration skills are of a high level. I am well-organised and use my time efficiently, skills that I consider vital for this position. I consider myself an approachable and friendly person and have found that I can easily build rapport with my students.

I am also willing to go the extra mile taking part on/organising extra-curricular activities or anything that needs to be done(I am very proactive).

After ten years living and teaching in the Uk, i moved back to Spain two years ago and I have been working in an English Academy with different groups: preparing main Cambridge exams, Toefl, escuela de idiomas exam, English in general, etc) since then.
