I have a degree and masters degree in microbiology and I have a lot of experience of working as a scientist.
I came to Madrid in 2020 and I decided to study as a teacher of English as a foreign language and I have just completed a CELTA course in April 2023. During this course I gained experience teaching adults at levels A2 and B2 in addition to observing qualified teachers. I don't have any formal teching experience prior to the CELTA course but I have taught and mentored staff during my career.
I am a native English speaker and I'm also studying Spanish, so I can empathise will students studying a foreign language. I'm a very organised person who likes to research any topic before I teach and the CELTA course has given me a very useful framework as to how to plan lessons. The course has also shown us how lessons should be student focused.
I'm looking forward to teaching people at all levels and ages and i believe I have many transferrable skills which will I can use for teaching.
