In my 1-hour English class focused on vocabulary, I start with a short warm-up to build rapport and encourage simple conversation. I then briefly review previous vocabulary to reinforce retention. Next, I introduce new words with clear meanings, pronunciation, and example sentences to help the student understand usage in context. This is followed by guided practice activities such as matching words, sentence building, and repetition exercises to strengthen recall. After that, I move into free speaking practice where the student actively uses the new vocabulary in conversation or role-play. I end the class with quick feedback, correcting mistakes, and summarizing the key words learned, along with a short homework task to help reinforce the lesson.
