During 10 years dedicated to the tourism sector, I have been working as a hotel receptionist in the city of Barcelona, my hometown, and I have worked as a tour guide in north Europe (Norway, Finland and Iceland) the last years, adding an amazing and unique experience to my life with straight contact to tourists from different nationalities and developing my guiding qualities which have been reflected with good reviews where you can see how important I can be for a great memory about their holidays, always taking care, having funny moments and sometimes handling difficult situations so that they can get the best experience as possible.
Because of my last years working abroad, I have got the opportunity to continue growing my career taking a big step towards different countries, which allowed me to improve my knowledge and qualities, leading me to extreme situations in some cases, such as guiding snowmobile tours through the forests of Lapland on nights below to -35ºC, hiking steep trails in the Norwegian mountains with big groups of people until the summit, or crossing river canyons with quad bikes dealing with the hard Icelandic weather conditions, always prefixing safety first, considering the external factors of the environment, in the most responsible way for my customers.
I come from a tourism high degree in the city of Barcelona which allowed me to add my first years of working experience as a hotel receptionist, but after that I got the motivation to apply an outdoor job position to enjoy and live new adventures out of a reception, and that brought me here today.
Finally, to know me a little bit better, I would like to highlight my love for the marine wildlife, since I carried out my degree project about the importance of sharks in diving destinations, which are my favorite animals, and being ready to show to everyone the main problem that these animals are suffering because of us, for example the shark fin trading. So, that’s why I took the decision to push myself into a new adventure related with the sea and change the cold of north Europe to jump into the water to extend my experience and share my passion in this world, which is diving.
My scuba diving trips have taken me to visit wonderful places in the world like Galápagos (Ecuador), Maldives, Revillagigedo and Baja California (México), Egypt, Philippines or Costa Rica. Wherever I travel I want to keep learning about the underwater biodiversity, and that's why I have a wide knowledge of marine wildlife added from course certifications (attached above), books, documentaries and professional speeches.
My last interest for whales is coming for the great encounters I had with this amazing animals in my diving trips mentioned before, and that made me certified in an online course of cetaceans by the Marine Biology University of Canary Island.
