*How long? (¿cuánto tiempo?) ---> e.g.: 1) I have known Laura since 1998. 2) She has lived in England for two years.
-ACABADAS - FINISHED-
*With Unfinished time words. (Con una palabra de tiempo inacabada (este mes, esta semana, hoy) ---> e.g.: 1) I haven't seen her this month.
*Present Result (A menudo utilizamos el presente perfecto para hablar de algo que ocurrió en un pasado reciente, pero que sigue siendo cierto o importante ahora.) ---> e.g.: 1) I've lost my keys (so I can't get into my house). 2) She has missed the bus (so she will be late).

*HOW LONG TO A POINT IN THE PAST (Algo que comenzó en el pasado y continuó hasta otra acción o momento del pasado.) ---> e.g.: 1) When he graduated, he had been in London for six years.(= Llegó a Londres seis años antes de licenciarse y vivió allí hasta que se graduó, o incluso más tiempo).
*UNREAL THINGS IN THE PAST (Hablar de cosas irreales o imaginarias del pasado.) ---> e.g.: 1) I wish I hadn't gone to bed so late! 2) He would have passed the exam if he had studied harder.(=Habría aprobado el examen si hubiera estudiado más.)
