Maria Elaine Lazaro Rees

My name is María, and I am a native English and Spanish teacher. I am from the United Kingdom, but since my father is Spanish, I speak both languages. I have been teaching English online for six years and Spanish for three. I have taught students ranging from five to fifty years old.

I am an aerospace engineering student currently in my fourth year of study. Recently, I had the experience of studying abroad for a semester in Montreal, Canada, where I also improved my French skills. In September, I will be starting my master’s degree in Rome, specializing in space and astronautical engineering.

I enjoy teaching English and seeing my students progress in their abilities.

I have been teaching on other platforms and independently since I was 16, working with many students who have been very happy with my lessons.

I create a personalized program for each student based on their level and goals. Depending on my students' proficiency, we practice more complex or simpler topics.

I have taught students from scratch (A0), starting with basic grammar and vocabulary while simultaneously practicing conversation using what we have learned.

I have also taught more advanced students, helping them prepare for language exams or improve their language skills.

My teaching approach is dynamic and adaptable, ensuring that each lesson is engaging and suited to the student's needs. I incorporate various resources such as interactive exercises, real-life scenarios, and multimedia content to make learning enjoyable and effective.

For beginners, I focus on building a strong foundation in pronunciation, essential phrases, and basic grammar structures. For more advanced learners, I emphasize fluency, accuracy, and confidence through structured conversation practice, complex grammar topics, and cultural insights.

I am passionate about helping my students achieve their language goals, whether for travel, work, exams, or personal growth.
