I liked that he used original level-based textbooks plus up-to-date materials, so every class had a clear focus and never felt repetitive. We balanced conversation, grammar, and practical exercises, and I started noticing progress from the first month.
Personally, I gained a lot of confidence and fluency. Matthew corrects respectfully and explains the reason behind each mistake, which helps you avoid it next time. Another big plus is that he’s learned a second language himself, so he really gets the common translation traps and the culture behind certain phrases.
We had both in-person and online sessions, and he adapted easily to changes in my schedule and everyday life. Totally recommended.
