Mehitabel Douglas-Drysdale

My name is Mehitabel, I am from Australia but I have dual citizenship with the UK.

I have completed the CELTA qualification in teaching English as a secondary language, so I have experience teaching ESL students and the knowledge of how to deliver targeted and effective lessons. I am committed to ensuring my students improve and develop their use and knowledge of English, but I also think it is important to make the learning experience enjoyable. I am happy to be guided by my students in what they would like to learn and practise, although I will bring my own knowledge of the language and which aspects are most important to be proficient in.

I also have a Bachelor's degree in English Literature, so I have a good understanding of academic English and would be happy to help any students wishing to improve their use of English in academic contexts. I am comfortable to assist with essay writing, public speaking practise, as well as conversational English and official rules of English (grammar, syntax etc.)

I am really passionate about language, and my goal is to make my learners feel comfortable and understood so they can better achieve their goals and improve in their learning. My schedule is very flexible, so I am happy to arrange lessons times that suit students and work around their individual needs and schedules. Late nights, early mornings, weekends - all are fine for me.
