My name is Melisse Bisbé Brito. I am 28 years old and originally from Cuba. I completed a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Chemistry in Spain and a Master’s degree in Molecular Life Sciences at Friedrich Schiller University Jena in Germany. I would like to offer tutoring in Spanish, English, Biology, and Chemistry through this platform.
During my Bachelor’s degree, I worked as a private tutor for high school students for one year, teaching Spanish, English, Chemistry, and Mathematics. This experience taught me how to structure and prepare lessons according to each student’s level, needs, and learning pace. Since then, my academic and professional experience has continued to strengthen my knowledge, communication skills, and ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
I believe that good communication is essential for building a positive relationship between a student and a teacher. It is important to listen carefully, understand what the student needs, and create an environment based on respect, trust, and empathy. I also believe that every student learns differently, so lessons should be adapted to their individual interests, strengths, difficulties, and pace.
For me, meaningful learning is not only about transmitting knowledge, but also about finding an engaging way to make the subject understandable and interesting. I therefore try to connect lessons with the student's interests and encourage them to actively participate rather than simply memorize information. I also value feedback from my students, as it helps me adapt and improve the lessons.
I like to make my classes dynamic and interactive, encouraging students to ask questions, express their ideas, and actively participate. Depending on the subject and the student's goals, I combine explanations, discussions, practical exercises, examples, and problem-solving activities. My goal is to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process.
