Salvador fue mi profesor de cine español en City College durante el semestre Primavera 2018. Mi experiencia en su clase fue fenomenal, aprendi muchísimo y su personalidad me ayudo a sentirme cómoda participando y haciendo preguntas. During the course of my undergraduate education, I took a total of four semesters of Spanish, but my fondest memories by far were with professor Salvador. He was kind, energetic, intelligent, and encouraging. Everything one could ask for of an instructor. Though I was taking Spanish to fulfill a language requirement for my major, I enjoyed it very much during the semester that I had him. He really is truly exceptional, and anyone who finds themselves in his class should feel lucky for it.

Despite the fact that I am writing this review in English, Salvador was an excellent Spanish professor! Hunter College has students take four semesters of foreign language, and I can say without a doubt that my semester with Salvador was my most memorable. His kindness and genuine love of language is contagious. I have never been a strong speaker/reader/writer of Spanish, and as a result would often loathe attending foreign language courses, but Salvador's welcoming persona made me feel comfortable and confident when engaging with the subject matter. Any educational institution will benefit from hiring him, as will the students who attend his classes.

Since attending Senor Salvador's Spanish Literature class, I continue to revisit the plethora of texts and novels we read and discussed in Spanish. Although I am not a native speaker, Senor Salvador incorporated various methods to learn and engage in the language including reading novels( "San Manuel Bueno, mártir" is my favrorite), poems, watching documentaries, and even having the opportunity to attend a film screening where we met the original directors! I highly recommend his class for anyone who enjoys engaging in literary analysis from various mediums and who wants to sharpen their conversational Spanish with thought-provoking discussions- his class does not disappoint!

One of the best Spanish professors I ever had. He was always very supportive and helpful in understanding that learning a new language can be tough for some students more than others and never left a student confused or lost. He made sure you understood what you were learning contextually as well so you didn’t feel like you were just memorizing words. Always was there for extra help and to answer questions and never made students feel like they were less than for asking them. Definitely take his class if you can!

Cuando tomé clases con el profesor Salvador, no solo aprendí, sino que me divertí mucho también. El profesor enseña de una manera súper dinámica y esto permite que uno como estudiante disfrute la clase al 100%. La clase que tomé con el profesor Salvador se trató sobre el cine español, con temas y películas que iban desde la guerra civil española hasta la época moderna. Al final del curso terminamos comprendiendo gran parte de la historia de España gracias a las películas seleccionadas por el profesor y su explicación sobre cada período histórico.
