I am an undergraduate student at Cornell University, where I study Business with minors in International Relations, Business, and Law. I am excited about the opportunity to teach English and help students develop both their language skills and confidence.
I am originally from New York and am currently living in Valencia, Spain, for the summer while working as a Business and NGO Partnerships Intern at a local NGO.
As a native English speaker, I can help students improve their conversational fluency, pronunciation, grammar, writing, and overall confidence. I speak 2 other languages, so I can help many. I believe language learning is most effective when lessons are engaging, practical, and tailored to each student's goals. Whether a student is preparing for school, work, travel, or everyday communication, I strive to create a supportive environment where they feel comfortable practicing and making progress.
Outside of academics and work, I enjoy discussing a wide variety of topics. My interests include philosophy, history, current events, international affairs, sports, music, art, food, travel, and different cultures. I am a passionate sports fan and follow basketball, soccer, American football, tennis, baseball, and many other sports. I also play both the piano and saxophone and enjoy learning about music from around the world. One of my favorite parts of living abroad is meeting people from different backgrounds and hearing their perspectives and experiences.
I also love learning new things, so even if your interests are not on this list, I would be excited to hear about them.
In addition to my academic studies, I am a member of the Cornell Men's Fencing Team and many clubs ranging from International Relations to Salsa.
I would be happy to help students achieve their English-language goals and look forward to working with learners of all ages and backgrounds.
