Portfolio design focused on HS students who are interested in applying to universities around the world

With over 15 years of experience as a bilingual (Spanish, English) high school and college art educator,
specialized in design pedagogy, coaching, and international portfolio design consultancy, I bring a strategic perspective to develop students' foundational skills to discover in them an artistic stance. In my current role as High School AP® Studio Art teacher at Colegio Nueva Granada in Bogotá, Colombia, I support students in their search for an artistic identity. In addition, through my mentorships, I offer them the possibility of experimenting, practicing, and revising their creative process from the intentionality as an artist: from researching to developing the concept and composition, to enhancing their skills and techniques.
I am a dynamic, honest and responsible teacher, committed to my work. I am comfortable working in a team and under pressure to deliver creative audiovisual proposals and solutions, and making them a reality. Social awareness, innovation and high-quality customer service are my trade marks for value creation.
As a continuous and quick learner of new ideas and concepts, I specialized in design pedagogy at the National University after obtaining my Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design from Jorge Tadeo Lozano University, both in Bogotá, Colombia. I am certified as an Advance Placement, AP® Studio Art Teacher in the United States; a professional learning network that connects with art and design teachers around the world. I have participated in 8 summer training institutes as a consultant for the CollegeBoard during
the last 13 years. And currently I just received my Educator Certificate / Colorado State Board of Education / Endorsed in: Visual Arts (K-12)
