Sofia Nightingale

Hi! I'm Sofia, a Mathematics graduate from the UK currently studying for a Master's in Advanced Mathematics and Mathematical Engineering at UPC in Barcelona.

I offer mathematics tutoring for secondary school, GCSE, A-Level and Further Maths, as well as undergraduate-level Mathematics, including Calculus, Linear Algebra, Statistics, Differential Equations and other areas.

I have experience supporting first-year Mathematics students at the University of Liverpool through peer-assisted learning sessions. I enjoy helping students understand difficult mathematical concepts by breaking problems down into manageable steps and adapting explanations to the individual student.

Having recently completed my own Mathematics degree, I'm very familiar with the difficulties students can encounter when learning new concepts. My aim is to help students develop the understanding and confidence needed to approach problems independently.

I'm a native English speaker and also speak Spanish at B2 level. I can teach in English and can provide support in Spanish where needed.

I offer both in-person classes in Barcelona and online lessons. I'm happy to help with regular classes, exam preparation, problem sheets or specific topics that a student is finding difficult.
