My classes will be based on the level and needs of each students. Classes will be interactive and engaging while learning the basics. This is essential and as I see it changing and mixing activities is the best way to keep students motivated. I plan my classes ahead of time and be prepared to let go and adapt activities based on the needs of the students and his/her capabilities to grasp the concepts. Also, I like to make sure I encourage students so they feel confident and comfortable around a language that might seem hard on them to express. I work on praising the perseverance when they find something difficult, so they don’t give up and this will help encourage their growth mindset and their willingness to embrace learning the language. Engaging students in the learning process increases their attention and focus and motivates them to engage in higher-level critical thinking. Promoting student engagement through active learning in my classes includes question-and-answer sessions, discussion, interactive lecture, quick writing assignments, hands-on activities, and experiential learning.
