Yong Yan He

Hello, my name is Yong Yan. I am living in Spain working as a English teacher. I am looking for extra work on the side to tutor students. I have a background in psychology and teaching from university. I was born in China, grew up in America since the age of 5 years old. I am fluent in English, and Mandarin Chinese.
My teaching style is clear, and supportive. I adapt each lesson to the student’s level, goals, and exam needs. I make sure students understand the basics first, then build step by step toward exam success.

For exam preparation, I focus on key skills such as reading, writing, listening, and speaking. I teach useful strategies, practice with exam-style questions, and help students manage time and reduce stress during tests. I explain grammar and vocabulary in a simple way and show students how to use them correctly in exams.

I give regular feedback, follow students progress, and review mistakes so students can improve quickly and feel more confident. My goal is to help students feel prepared, calm, and ready on exam day.
I love working with students, and languages is my passion. I believe that everyone learns differently, and may face challenges when it comes to learning. Therefore, I want my students to feel their best and see learning not as something dreadful or boring but it can be exciting for them!

The study-guides and lessons for the students will be personalised, and to fit their skill level. The students will study their best when they feel their best!
