My goal isn't simply to teach you Spanish. It's to help you enjoy learning it, become comfortable using it, and develop the confidence to communicate naturally in real-life situations.
I'm a native Spanish speaker from Argentina, but I have a neutral accent, having spent 20 years living in the United States. My international experience has given me a good understanding of the challenges of learning another language and adapting to a different culture.
My teaching approach is different from traditional language lessons. I don't like relying on textbooks or following a rigid curriculum. Instead, I prefer to prepare each lesson individually, taking into account each student's level, interests, needs, and personal goals.
My lessons focus primarily on conversation and practical exercises connected to the topics we discuss. Through these conversations, we naturally work on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, listening comprehension, and communication skills.
I enjoy getting to know my students, their hobbies, interests, and what makes them curious about the world. We can talk about travel, films, literature, history, art, current events, food, culture, personal experiences, or practically anything you find interesting. For students who enjoy more thought-provoking conversations, we can explore cultural, social, or intellectual subjects, always adjusting the vocabulary and complexity of our discussions to their Spanish level.
I believe that learning a language becomes much easier and more enjoyable when you're talking about something that genuinely interests you. Vocabulary becomes easier to remember, comprehension improves, and confidence develops naturally. Over time, you'll find it easier not only to speak Spanish but also to understand and write it.
We can also focus on practical, everyday situations, especially if you're living in Spain or planning to move here. This might include conversations in shops and restaurants, medical appointments, administrative procedures, social interactions, or professional situations.
I recommend two-hour lessons, as I've found that longer sessions allow us to develop conversations more fully, explore topics in greater depth, and reinforce what we've learned more effectively than two separate one-hour lessons.
📍 I offer online and in-person lessons in Málaga city. Please note that in-person lessons have a different rate.
