British English online teacher from Manchester

I am a qualified and highly experienced English tutor now working exclusively online. I am British, English, from Manchester and I have enjoyed teaching students in International schools in Africa and Europe as well as privately for over 30 years. I have a Certificate of English Language Teaching Adults (CELTA) with Leeds Metropolitan University.
I am tutoring/ have tutored Spanish, Russian and Chinese and Kenyan students.
I have taught Cambridge Young Learners Suite ( pre- A1 to A2), Cambridge A2 KET, B1 PET, B2 First , C1 Advanced, C2 Proficiency. IELTS.
IGCSE Literature in English and First and Second Language English.


You will find me a supportive, encouraging and versatile tutor. My students learn through topic - based classes to improve their conversation skills. Students preparing for job interviews refine their interviewing skills with me and those preparing for Cambridge English exams get a thorough grounding in the 4 skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing with lots of exam practice growing into fully confident students ready to take their exam once registered. I believe learning should be enjoyable and fun using games, photos, role play and exploring interesting topics of study. Both adults and young students have successfully studied with me, often for several years. I am a qualified UK teacher and love working with both children and teenagers. My experience also includes many adults who have studied with me to improve their job prospects and performance as well as general conversation.
