A communicative approach highlights the importance of real communication for learning to take place. Real interaction and communication are not just objectives in learning but also the means through which it takes place. (Debate…) An integrated skill approach focuses on the four skills. All of them require the same attention and should be granted the same importance. A task based learning approach: the primary focus of classroom activity is the task (Travel Guide) and students use the English language to achieve a specific outcome (public transport, currency…) Teaching autonomy: Students’ should learn the language autonomously. Learners’ are in the centre of instruction, the role of the teacher as a guide and monitor of the students’ learning processes is vital in a foreign language classroom. The teacher must provide students’ with opportunities for communication, monitoring their learning and providing constructive feedback. Cooperative learning: Students learn cooperatively (asking one another for information, evaluating one another’s ideas (debate), monitoring one another’s work (top sight contest for descriptions). ICT tools are used to create, store and manage information. They have become an integral part to the teaching-learning interaction. The learning of grammar should be carried out inductively.
