Alejandro De Sas Van Damme

I am Álex, I'm half Spanish-half Belgian, I'm 33 and I have worked as legal counsel for several years for many private companies in the development of infrastructure and energy projects; I'm currently doing a completely different thing, working for the WTA (Women's Tennis Association), traveling worlwide and living the experience at its fullest.

I am passionate for what I do, and I like the implication when it comes to help others improving and evolving; learning a language can be fun when you give it a different perspective and see it just as another way of communication. It doesn't need to be perfect, you just need to feel natural when using it.

I would like to share with you a reflection on how we live in a different world, more dynamic, than the one we, the late 80s and 90s kids, grew up in.

What does this mean? Basically, that the way we learnt languages in schools is no longer effective, because this modern world demands a complete immersion on a matter to learn it, and this doesn't exclude English; we need to be practical and focus on use the language in a conversational and professional level, and that's what I want to do with you, as my own personal experience helped me to improve by simply using it in a daily basis, reading, writing, listening and speaking.

However, I can also teach basic English, from grammar (use of verbs, regular and irregular), to vocabulary, to writing skills.

I can go with Online sessions or in person (if I am available), according to students preference.
