I currently do lesson plans. I like to organize my week on Sundays. So on Sundays, I think of ideas and make a lesson plan for the week for each grade. The week prior I like to prepare any materials that I need for the upcoming week so that on Monday, I just need to focus on anything that needs to be finished or done for the lessons that day and week. I like to plan in advance for myself and the main teacher. I like to use canva, google calendar and print out a schedule for the week to fill in the lessons for each grade.I like to put myself in the shoes of the kids. Therefore, I think putting fun activities together to gain their interest would be the best way. For example, if they are learning grammar, I like to do word sentences at each table where their table puts a sentence together. In addition, I love to do stations touching on different topics that they are learning and can practice talking, writing and speaking. I like to turn boring topics into fun activities so kids look forward to learning and using English. I know it can be hard for kids to step out of their comfort zone so I like to do roleplays and create a script for the kids to follow. I did this with the fourth graders, their topic was about clothing and what they are made out of so I had the kids pretend to do a market where they brought things in to “sell” and I gave them a script.
