My name's Anthony, and I live in Belgium — though right now, I'm walking the Camino de Santiago, in Spain.

I have to say my experience here wouldn't be the same if I wasn't able to speak English. Every day on this trail, I meet people from all over the world, and it's English that lets us understand each other, share a meal, or laugh about a hard day's walk. This is actually why I started learning foreign languages when I was 13 — I also speak French, Spanish, and Dutch — driven by one simple dream: being able to communicate with the world.

More than 10 years ago, that dream turned into a career, and I became an English and Dutch teacher. Since then, I've helped many teenagers discover the pleasure of connecting with people from other cultures, watching their confidence grow lesson after lesson as a new language slowly became their own.

Ever since, I've travelled to Egypt, Japan, China, Croatia, Germany, and beyond — and lived countless experiences thanks to my English skills, with new ones still waiting around every corner (right now, quite literally, somewhere along the Camino!)

Me llamo Anthony y vivo en Bélgica —aunque ahora mismo estoy haciendo el Camino de Santiago, en España.

Tengo que decir que mi experiencia aquí no sería la misma si no supiera hablar inglés. Cada día en el Camino conozco a personas de todo el mundo, y es el inglés lo que nos permite entendernos, compartir una comida o reírnos de lo dura que fue la etapa del día. Precisamente por eso empecé a aprender idiomas cuando tenía 13 años —también hablo francés, español y neerlandés—, movido por un sueño muy simple: poder comunicarme con el mundo.

Hace más de 10 años, ese sueño se convirtió en una profesión y me hice profesor de inglés y neerlandés. Desde entonces, he ayudado a muchos adolescentes a descubrir el placer de conectar con personas de otras culturas, viendo crecer su confianza clase tras clase, hasta que un nuevo idioma se convertía poco a poco en algo propio.

Desde entonces, he viajado a Egipto, Japón, China, Croacia, Alemania, y más allá —y he vivido innumerables experiencias gracias a mi inglés, con otras nuevas esperándome a la vuelta de la esquina (ahora mismo, literalmente, en algún punto del Camino).
