Mark is the best coach I have ever had. And I say this as someone who understands the subject quite well. Despite our significant age difference, he explained everything so clearly, intelligently, and effectively that I was genuinely upset when he had to stop our lessons because of his studies. The results spoke for themselves: thanks to his coaching, I managed to defeat a Master of Sports — which, by Soviet standards, is a very high level, close to grandmaster class. It happened once; after that, my opponent simply didn’t give me another opportunity. In addition, Mark works wonderfully with children. I know this firsthand from the experience of my friends and their families. Mark coached me for a short, 3 month period. However, my ELO on chess.com sky-rocketed, from 1400 to 1700.
