To whom it may concern,
I had the pleasure of knowing Ms. María de la Viña on September 2010. Firstly, as the Student
Services Coordinator at Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE) in Seville, Spain, in which
Ms. De la Viña has been working as an orientation guide. Secondly, as the Coordinator of The
Language Commitment Program in which she has been working for the full academic year-
Ms. María de la Viña possesses all of those qualities one looks for in a collaborator and is the
sort of individual who would serve as a model for other colleagues. She is a well-balanced individual
who can bring energy and enthusiasm to the group dynamic, yet at the same time she will remain
level-headed and calm in order to maintain the control needed to accomplish the task at hand,
qualities both desirable and necessary for a professional in the field of International Relations.
I have no doubt that Ms. María de la Viña will achieve both professional and non-professional
success in her tasks. I find Ms. De la Viña to be a mature, responsible, thoughtful young woman who is
confident (though no arrogant) in her abilities. She has a strong sense of responsibility and is
organized in every aspect of her work. She proved to be highly motivated when it came to deal with
intercultural issues, not to mention her high skills both in written and spoken English. It should be
noted that María worked as volunteers and works for the educational community, especially for
sporting events. In turn, she was the personal assistant of students with motor disabilities.
Ms. De la Viña has both the intellectual ability and the social maturity necessary to do an excellent
job. In addition, she will take advantage of every opportunity afforded to her in order to make the
most of her experience.
