Hello, I'm Betty! a Biligual Teacher (English-Spanish).
Having received my Bachelor's Degree I spent more than 10 years working in the tourist sector - as a guide and head receptionist mainly - It was helping a friend with a very full agenda when I discovered, almost accidentally, that my real passion was teaching, and that's exactly what I've been doing the last 12 years, teaching English and Spanish online and in-person to learners at all levels and ages. As I have studied languages myself for many years - French at university and also Russian, and German - I know exactly what the challenges (and rewards!) of learning a language are like.
My approach to teaching is Communicative - I believe a great relationship between Teacher and Student is the key to a positive learning environment. As a teacher I also try to ensure that all of my lessons are designed to meet the needs and interests of my students. This is why in my lessons, I engage my students in real information and interesting topics that will give them the motivation to speak and to dedicate their spare time to study.

Hola, soy Betty! una profesora bilingüe (inglés-español).
Después de terminar mi carrera universitaria pasé más de 10 años trabajando en el sector turístico, principalmente como guía y recepcionista de hotel. Fue años después ayudando a una amiga que tenía demasiado trabajo con sus clases de idiomas cuando descubrí, casi accidentalmente, que mi verdadera pasión era la enseñanza, y eso es exactamente lo que he estado haciendo durante los últimos 12 años, enseñando inglés y español, tanto online como en persona a estudiantes de todos los niveles y edades. Como yo también he estudiado idiomas durante muchos años, francés en la universidad, ruso y alemán más tarde, sé exactamente cuáles son los desafíos (y las recompensas) de aprender un idioma extranjero!
Mi enfoque de la enseñanza es comunicativo: creo que una buena relación entre el maestro y el alumno es la clave para un entorno de aprendizaje positivo. Como docente también intento asegurar que todas mis lecciones estén diseñadas para satisfacer las necesidades e intereses de mis alumnos. Es por esto que en mis clases siempre involucro a mis alumnos con información real y temas interesantes que les darán la motivación para hablar y dedicar su tiempo libre para seguir practicando y estudiando.
