Hello! I'm Cris Jean, a certified English teacher with over a decade of classroom experience and three years of private tutoring, both online and face-to-face. I hold a Master's degree in Language Teaching, a TESOL certification, and a Licensed Professional Teacher credential, and I currently teach English at the senior high school level.

My classes follow a communicative, student-centered methodology: rather than relying on rote memorization, I build lessons around real conversation, guided practice, and gradual skill-building, so students actually use the language, not just study it. Every lesson is scaffolded — I break down complex grammar or vocabulary into manageable steps, model the target skill, then guide the student through practice before moving to independent use.

Each session is tailored to the learner's level and goals. For beginners, I focus on foundational vocabulary, pronunciation, and simple sentence structures through games, dialogues, and everyday scenarios. For intermediate and advanced students, we work on reading comprehension, writing fluency, spelling accuracy, and more nuanced grammar, often using authentic materials like short articles, dialogues, or topics the student is genuinely interested in.

I also prepare in advance for every student — reviewing their current level, previous lessons, and specific difficulties — so each class builds meaningfully on the last rather than starting from scratch. Beyond the core lesson, I provide clear explanations, patient re-teaching when something doesn't click, and constructive feedback to help students track their progress.
