I am half-Spanish and half-English. I was born in England and lived here till the age of 11 but I moved to Madrid, Spain and studied all of high school, college and my university degree there. Thus, I am completely bilingual and speak both of these languages as a native speaker with a native accent.
During my four years at university in Madrid I decided to work as an English as a second language tutor, where I taught both children and adults, ranging from levels A1 to C1. These classes were at first only in person but with COVID-19, I began to teach only online classes, which worked out even better for all parties involved as it allowed us to be more flexible and creative. Therefore, throughout these years, I gained a lot of knowledge on how to teach a language.
Once I graduated university, I decided to go abroad for a year to France and I worked at a private language school there where I taught both English and Spanish conversation workshops as well as individual conversation classes to people of all different ages and levels. I gained experience on how to teach both English and Spanish through conversation classes, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
Despite working at an office from 9 to 6, I have continued to teach English privately in the evenings and have now been teaching English to both adults and children for a total of 9 years.
I believe I am a very good and patient tutor, who can teach online classes to students of different ages and different levels. I know how to adapt to the individual needs of my students and I always take a lot of time and consideration in planning my classes. I am very sociable and friendly, so I always have a smile on my face and make sure my students have a good time learning a new language.
