Enrique

My name is Enrique Moreno, 37 year-old Madrid-born postgraduate. Awarded with ‘Mutua Madrileña’ annual scholarship to do postgraduate studies abroad, completed a fixed-term contract as an In-house Translator (Spanish) at Travco LLP main offices in London after having successfully completed a MA in Bilingual Translation and Interpreting at the University of Westminster, London. I have over 10 years of experience as an English and Spanish Personal Tutor and Freelance Translator and Interpreter in both the UK and Spain.

Being a native speaker with a superlative command of the Spanish language, and having studied Spanish Language Grammar and Language Teaching Methodology at university, I regard myself as a capable professional linguist of the highest standard. I am an enthusiastic, creative and hard-working person with a true academic spirit, above all in the areas of Linguistics and Education, and a positive attitude towards life who wants to share her passion and enthusiasm for Modern Languages.

In my opinion, language is the best way to transmit culture, to the strengthening of their role in society, and a privileged place for its creation, hence its importance in establishing appropriate relationships between speakers and readers of different languages. Languages’ main task is to help us understand each other, so they should not be left behind in their effort to help this understanding be satisfactory.

I enjoy travelling, cycling and playing in a band, which I feel has allowed me to build good communication skills and become a keen team player. I have a great capacity for interaction with different cultures and I am easy to be around and open-minded. I am willing to contribute regularly and flexibly to innovative ways of improving the success and fulfillment of the company. I am punctual, reliable, motivated and always willing to learn new things.
