Erica Barlow

My Experience: I am a fully TEFL-qualified ESL teacher with an English degree, an English Secondary Teaching Certificate and more than ten years of experience in general. I have with extensive experience of teaching both General and Cambridge English at all levels and to all ages, including teaching the Cambridge Young Learners Programme to children. I originally qualified as a school teacher, and as such I have worked with all ages of student from 3 to 73 years old!

My ethos: I am a dedicated, passionate and forward thinking teacher who is always willing to try new things to keep my lessons accessible, effective and fun! If you don't understand something, it is my mission to find a better way to help you understand it. I will work with you to set out shared goals which are realistic but also aimed to stretch you. I promise to take you where you need to be in all the areas of English you need: speaking, listening, reading and / or writing. I use a variety of different resources - from music to flashcards to to keep you involved and engaged at all times.

Want to study English for less formal reasons? If you are not after an academic qualification, no problem! I am happy to help you just practise conversational or functional English, whatever you would like to improve.
