I am a CELTA-qualified English teacher with an international background and experience teaching IELTS, General English and professional communication. I am a New Zealand citizen, and English has been the main language of my education, professional career and daily life for many years.

My classes are practical, communicative and adapted to you. I like to understand your goals, your current level and the situations in which you actually need to use English, then build lessons around what will help you most.

I can help with speaking confidence, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, listening, writing and everyday communication. I also have previous experience teaching IELTS preparation online, including both General and Academic IELTS. For professionals, I can work on Business English, meetings, presentations, interviews, emails, negotiations and communicating confidently in an international workplace.

My CELTA training has given me a learner-centred approach to teaching. My lessons are not simply lectures. I use guided discovery, clear explanations, practical examples, questions and plenty of opportunities for you to actually use the language. I also create a relaxed environment where mistakes are treated as part of the learning process.

I have spent many years working internationally in business, energy, shipping and sales, so I can bring real professional experience into Business English lessons.
