My name is Nano and I am from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, U.S.A.
I have ample experience in international and multicultural organizations as well as an international up-bringing giving me a quite unique perspective on how to deal with different cultures as well as business protocol from different countries.
Many of my students have hired my services as they are promoting to more international positions or changing jobs to multinational companies. In these cases I have been able not only to improve their english level and fluidity when communicating but gather knowledge from my experiences with people from all over the world.

Given my HR background as a Recruiter and Head Hunter I’m also able to assist them in the preparation of interviews, teach them about the different interview situations they might encounter and how to face them. One of my strong points when helping students to prepare for job interviews is combining my HR and Marketing skills by showing them how to use language to their advantage when presenting their candidacy, how to "sell themselves" and how to tweak certain words or phrases to make their application more attractive.

I must admit that teaching has been one of the most gratifying jobs I have ever had. I consider myself a highly curious person and I’m always fascinated to learn about how the different industries and companies work. I always say that teaching is a two way street as while I teach english and it’s different applications I also learn a great deal about my students' jobs, their opinions on how their industry works and how it's evolving. The students I have helped come from all kinds of companies and positions. I’ve had the pleasure to work with and learn from Civil Engineers, University teachers, IT Managers from Nuclear Plants, Key Account Managers from Mobile Solutions Companies, HR Managers or even CEOs from International Creative Design Studios to name a few.

My teaching methodology is different from what can be found in more “traditional” teaching. I’m a big believer in the learning by doing approach. I like to think of it as how children learn to speak a language. When you were taught your mother tongue your parents didn’t hand you a grammar book, a vocabulary book and put you down to do exercises which made little to no sense to you at the time. I like my students to learn by talking, learn by trying to communicate an idea or try to talk about a subject they feel passionate about. This helps students make an effort to try and communicate a message they care about while I intervene and correct their construction of the phrase, correct pronunciation or help them with relevant vocabulary. This, paired with reading together texts and articles from a vast variety of sources, helps them learn, use and put into context a great amount of vocabulary, expressions and phrase constructions. Trial and error is a far greater teacher than learning of by heart in my opinion.

With time and effort I have managed to transfer these teaching techniques to the online world taking advantage of all the resources available today on the web. This has allowed me to greatly increase my schedule flexibility, reducing operational costs and granting my students the possibility to assist to class wherever they may be, whenever the can (I have had students assisting class from airports, moving trains, offices or hotels for example).

My objective is to prove that learning english does not have to be an arduous boring task but rather something fun and instructive.
