Genevieve Huckabee

Hi there! My name's Genevieve, I'm from the United States and have been teaching English for 8 years now. I have a plethora of experience in teaching all ages, from preschoolers to middle age and seniors at companies. I have prepared many students for the Cambridge First, Cambridge Advanced, and Cambridge Proficiency exams and have the materials needed for doing so. I have student books for all levels to follow in class as well as games and activities to do together. For conversation classes, we will discuss current events and topics of interest of the student. I will also share captivating videos and articles to watch and read beforehand for us to discuss in class. After each lesson I will assign homework exercises that the student will need to finish before the following class.

A little bit about me, I studied for my TEFL certificate at the Language House Academy in Prague and then started teaching English there for one year. After, I moved to Barcelona to continue my career in teaching and have been doing it ever since. I have a special relationship with all my students because I teach at their houses and know them and their families on a more personal level. I have been learning a lot about European cultures due to my students and it really makes my job so much more interesting! Not only do I go house to house around the city but I also teach at businesses that entails a more professional approach. I enjoy my job a lot and hope to see you in my class soon :)
