Georgina Morton

I am a trained TESOL teacher from the University of York, UK. Recently I have been living in Córdoba, Spain as an assistant teacher in primary schools for English. I worked at International house as an English language teacher and currently give online classes. My accent is British, UK.

I am from the UK but I grew up in Hong Kong and moved to the UK to finish my education. I have an international background. I love the Arts and studied theatre at University in London before training to teach English. I use my love for plays, poetry and English literature in my work.

My lessons are focused on as much student speaking time as posible through promted questions based on level. Some of the lesson is focused reading and comprehension texts. After reading texts we work for pronunciation and meaning. Grammar is highlighted but not the sole focus at B1 and above. For early learners grammar is learnt to be able to form full sentence structures. I like to encourage students to speak and learn pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar as the fall out from interactive improvised and text driven conversation. I like the student to have a say in what they want to learn and the focus of the classes.
