Gillian Wismer

I am a certified teacher from the United States. I teach General English and English as a Second Language (ESL). I have been teaching in a public school for 3 years, and I also taught for two summers in New York and Los Angeles. In addition to teaching in schools, I have been tutoring students for 10 years. I have taught students from different parts of the world, including Asia, Africa, South America, Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East.

I teach students of all ages and levels. I focus on helping students improve their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. Grammar and vocabulary are also part of my lessons. I can teach using a set curriculum, or I can create lessons that match the student's needs. I am comfortable teaching both small groups and individual students.

I offer three different types of lessons:

General English: This lesson covers basic English skills for everyday life, such as introducing yourself, ordering food at a restaurant, and shopping.

English for Studies: This lesson helps you improve the English skills needed for your school subjects. For example, you will learn how to describe the environment for social studies or science, or how to write a paper in academic English.

English Through Interests: In this lesson, you can choose a topic that interests you, and we will learn English through that topic. For example, if you are interested in music, we will learn English words related to music, like different music styles, instruments, and how to talk about music.
